Raising money for Dreamflight is great fun! We have benefited from all sorts of fundraising, ranging from the smaller events like coffee mornings and cake sales, to the larger glitzy events like formal balls and golf tournaments. But we have also seen a few more unusual ideas, like swimming the English Channel, a sponsored parachute jump from 30,000 feet whilst breathing pure oxygen, or moustache growing in the month of Movember! 

Here are five reasons why people will support you and Dreamflight:

• You recommend it! Fundraising is personal; your enthusiasm for Dreamflight is the most important aspect
• Dreamflight is funded solely by voluntary contributions. As all the money raised goes to the children, we can tell you what your support will provide – literally!
• The day-to-day operations of the charity are handled by just 2 full-time and 1 part-time employees. All other support is voluntary, ensuring your contributions benefit the children
• Dreamflight is local to you - children are selected regionally from all over the UK and form 12 Dreamflight Groups; 1 in Wales, 2 in Scotland, 1 in Northern Ireland and 8 across England
• Dreamflight changes lives; it gives many children confidence, independence, and often a whole new outlook on life
