Many people go to great lengths to raise money for Dreamflight and in September, a team of 9 amateur cyclists will be setting off from London bound for Paris some 250 miles away.
The 3-day challenge has been organised by Dreamflight cameraman ‘Kam’ who told us “I wanted to do something challenging and Paris seemed a good place to aim for... Our team is starting to take shape with just a few places left now and people can support us, follow our progress with live updates and donate via the official challenge website at www.london2paris4dreamflight.com.”
In addition to the cyclists, Laura Shave will be the support driver for the team, carrying essentials and then transporting 9 very tired riders & their bikes home after.
The organisers for the challenge which takes place 15-17 September hope to obtain some support from businesses when it comes to accommodation en route, ferry crossings and loan of a 17 seater minibus. Kam added “we’d love businesses to get involved too and there’s lots of information regarding opportunities for them on the website. Aside from the promotion across various websites, there’s branding opportunities for clothing and the support vehicle too, which will be sign written in English & French to maximise exposure as the group winds it’s way to Paris”
