Dreamflight are most proud of Ian Poulter, whose ‘impressive ruthlessness’ in his game against Matt Kuchar helped him to deliver the point he had boldly promised his European team mates prior to the tournament commencing.
The prestigious Ryder Cup Tournament is played between Europe and the USA – each selecting an excellent team, consisting of their top 12 players. This year the event was held at Celtic Manor in Wales and in two years time, the tournament will head back across the ‘pond’ to Chicago’s Medinah Club. In true British form, the weather was not kind, but our hardy players stepped up to the challenging winds and rain and came out on top! Ian was confident he would play well and true to his word, he had a fantastic singles game and delivered a much needed point for the European team, who collectively finished one point ahead of the USA to claim the trophy.
Ian was introduced to Dreamflight three years ago by his caddie, Terry Mundy (both pictured with the Ryder Cup). Ever since, Ian has been a generous supporter of the charity, donating both time and money to help us to change the lives of many seriously ill and disabled children. This year Ian will be meeting the Dreamflight aircraft as it lands in Orlando and we are extremely lucky to be joined by Ian and his family on some of the days at the wonderful theme parks of Orlando. We are most proud of Ian’s golfing achievements and are most grateful to the Poulter family for their commitment and loyalty to Dreamflight
